Dubal may cut 2009 output target

Dubai Aluminum Co said it may cut a target to produce 1 million metric tons of aluminum next year as the global financial crisis has reduced demand. However, Dubal and its partners are continuing with a plan to build the world's largest smelter in Abu Dhabi. The Emirates Aluminum project will produce 700,000 tons of aluminum a year from 2010, the company said.
