Mitel Networks introduces its 3300 Integrated Communications Platform
- United Arab Emirates: Wednesday, January 22 - 2003 at 11:34
- PRESS RELEASE
Mitel Networks has announced the launch of the Mitel Networks 3300 Integrated Communications Platform (ICP) which is now available.
The 3300 ICP supports up to 700 users, but multiple systems can be clustered together to support thousands of users. It has in excess of 500 voice based features including embedded voicemail, multisite Automatic Call Distribution (ACD) and call management. Working with a suite of Mitel Networks IP devices and telephones, the 3300 ICP is controlled by a web-based management system, which means that users can control all features online themselves. For example, the 5140 IP Appliance allows users to view web based information from their phone.
Adrian Clarke, Mitel Networks' Regional Business Manager for the Middle East, said: "One of the main advantages of the 3300 ICP is that it is a voice product which integrates seamlessly into an existing data infrastructure. This means it is ideal for companies who generally already have a data network and do not want to start from scratch with a voice network when they have already made a considerable investment in technology. We recognise that businesses may not want to completely replace their existing PBXs, so by providing full legacy networking capabilities to a traditional PBX, companies can migrate to an IP system at their own pace. We feel that this product draws on Mitel Networks voice expertise and demonstrates that we have a real understanding of the requirements of the end-user."
For businesses who require feature rich reliable telephony and applications delivered in a converged LAN environment, Mitel Networks 3300 ICP is a system which integrates the reliability of traditional telephony with the benefits of an IP infrastructure for applications delivery. It is compatible with the full range of Mitel Networks dual port, IP devices including the 5310 IP Boardroom Conference Unit and the 5550 Multimedia IP console.
The 3300 ICP is based on Mitel Networks' Data Integrated Voice Applications architecture which means that both IP and the traditional telephony system are inherent in the core of the platform. This results in investment protection for businesses as analogue, legacy systems are supported to the same level as the new IP technology.
