UAE stocks plunge

The Dubai Financial Market on Tuesday fell 184.23 points, or 7.29%, to close on 2,343. The Dubai Financial Market Co, Emaar Properties and Arabtec Holding led the decline, with DFM Co dropping 10% - the maximum limit - and Emaar and Arabtec falling more than 9.8%. Meanwhile, the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange dropped 152.20 points, or 4.87%, to end the day on 2,975. Declines were led by Abu Dhabi Energy Co. (Taqa), which fell over 9.9%, and Sorouh Real Estate and Aldar Properties, both of which were down more than 9%.
