Nashwa Al Ruwaini to participate in Success Forum 2008 in Dubai

The Success Forum is designed to draw attention to the invaluable contributions and achievements of the UAE's leaders in carious fields, so as to benefit younger generations and to encourage them to face challenges and strive for excellence.

Held under the patronage of His Excellency Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the forum will host a series of discussions about success and how to be successful in the Arab World.

Nashwa will be speaking about her experiences in the media industry and of her position as a successful host of her own talk show 'Nashwa' on November 12 at 18:30 in a discussion titled success between instinct and achievement.

Speaking alongside Nashwa in the discussion will be Dr. Talal Abu Ghazala, CEO of the Talal Abu Ghazala Group, TAJ, Mohammed Alsayoufi, General Manager of the company Triple I, Emad Hajaj, Jordanian Character Actor and Media Personality on Al Jazeera Khadeeja Bin Qina.

'Nashwa' is a weekly, self-titled televised talk show broadcast on Dubai TV and presented and produced by Nashwa Al Ruwaini herself.

The aim of the show is to journey through different social issues surrounding the Arab world and its people, discussing the current problems and issues faced by people all over the region.

Nashwa Al Ruwaini has been a staple in the media industry for over 18 years.

Currently the Director of The Middle East International Film Festival and CEO of Pyramedia, Nashwa has been at the forefront of building the media industry in the region.

Born in Egypt, raised in Saudi Arabia and Qatar and educated in England, Nashwa started her career in Qatar on the radio and quickly moved into television.

She worked with the Middle East Broadcasting Corporation (MBC) for a number of years in London launching landmark television shows and later moved to Cairo to head up MBC's Cairo office.

In 1998, Nashwa established her own production company, Pyramedia, with offices now in London, Cairo, Dubai, Abu Dhabi and New York.

Nashwa's production company Pyramedia has become one of the largest production companies in the region, producing some of the highest rated TV shows including the 'Million's Poet' and 'Prince of Poets' TV competitions on Abu Dhabi TV.

Nashwa has been voted best female presenter for five consecutive years from 1998-2002 by various Arab newspapers and magazines and most recently won a Gold Award for Best Talk Show for Nashwa in the Tenth Gulf Radio and Television Production Festival.

She has also made the Forbes Arabia's list of the 50 Most Powerful Arab Businesswomen twice and has been nominated for a Rose d'Or Award for Best Entertainer.
