The board was briefed by the Governor about the developments of the global financial crisis and the actions which the CBB has taken in order to safeguard Bahrain's financial sector from any implications caused as a result.
The Governor also ensured that the necessary measures have been put in place to ensure the safety of the banking system and stability of the banking transactions.
The board also discussed CBB's quarterly report and the financial statements reported until September 2008. Furthermore, the board reviewed the recommendations of the audit committee and approved its policy and procedures. In addition, the board agreed the tendering regulations and procurement policies set for the CBB.
