The first Park Inn in the GCC to open in Muscat

Formalities were recently inked between the largest and only integrated real estate company in Oman owned by Al Habib Group, and The Rezidor Hotel Group to open the first Park Inn in the GCC in Muscat in the first quarter of 2009.

It is the first new international hotel in the city since the past four years.
Present on the occasion were Jean-Marc Busato, Area Vice President Middle East & Africa, The Rezidor Hotel Group; Ali Malallah Habib Al Lawati, Chairman of Al Habib Group, and Francois Galoisy, General Manager, Park Inn Muscat.

The hotel's central location in Al Khuwair on Sultan Qaboos Street opposite to the Embassy area and ministry offices, as well as connectivity to major roads and highways, puts Muscat's landmarks, a shopping complex and business hubs within easy reach. Space has been reserved for adequate parking in the basement and outside the hotel.

"We have introduced one of the fastest growing hotel brands in the hospitality industry that isn't just different or affordable, but one that understands a discerning business traveller's needs and conveniences," said Ali Habib.
"Oman's tourism industry is on the rise and will see visitors from across the world looking for a diverse holiday destination. This will result in an increase of travellers with different requirements and financial resources," explained Busato. "Park Inn is ideal for this market as it has a fresh, exciting and practical approach, and is focused on what really matters; a good, comfortable sleep in a fresh and clean environment."

The four-star hotel will have a modern, sophisticated décor featuring branded furniture such as Bose, Dedon, Guy Degrenne, Dometic and VingCard to name a few. The 175 elegantly appointed guest rooms in the colourful and vibrant Park Inn style have been designed keeping the business traveller in mind with state-of-the-art facilities. A team of architects led by D.M. Upasni from Urban Design Cell, India, have fashioned the rooms to ensure the guests have a comfortable and memorable stay.

Park Inn Muscat will be the only hotel in Muscat with a rooftop swimming pool and a poolside restaurant presenting a panoramic view. The penthouse will be the location of TechnoGym, one of the world's leading manufacturers of state-of-the-art fitness equipment, renowned globally for its advanced design and technology along with steam, sauna and massage rooms.

An all-day dining restaurant with live cooking will be the hub, located in the atrium of the hotel serving up to 90 people. Red Bar Grill (RBG) will be a steakhouse for a casual family style dining that extends into the open air terrace covers accommodating over a 100 guests.

The Business Centre will form an integral part of Park Inn meeting the highest standards of the business men. The four meeting halls of various sizes and an executive boardroom will cater to requirements of modern business.

Supporting the initiatives of the Ministry of Manpower, the hotel will employ and train Omanis in key positions serving the 'Yes I Can' culture of Park Inn, in an efficient yet friendly environment.
