Mushtaq also known as 'Mushy' by cricket lovers, made his ODI cricket debut in the UAE in 1989, and is back in the country to support Etisalat's fervor for Cricket. Mushtaq played 52 test matches and 144 one day internationals for Pakistan between 1990 and 2003. He was famous for his leg spin bowling and his trademark 'googly'. Amongst his many accolades, he was voted the Wisden Cricketer of the Year in 1997 and was the leading wicket taker in English County Cricket in both 2003 and 2004.
Delighted to welcome Mushtaq for the series, Jamal Saeed S. Al Nuaimi, the General Manager for the Abu Dhabi region for Etisalat commented:
