KPMG holds its 7th MESA Partners' Conference in Qatar

KPMG, the global network of professional Audit, Tax and Advisory services operating in 145 countries with nearly 135,000 people worldwide, is hosting the 7th Middle East and South Asia (MESA) Partners' Conference at Al Sharq Village and Spa in Doha on November 12th and 13th.

The conference was inaugurated yesterday by the Chief Guest speaker His Excellency Yussef Hussain Kamal, Minister of Economy and Finance.

Witnessing a phenomenon growth, a development on all levels, and striving on a clear path that places it on the International Financial and Economic scene, as one of the fastest growing economy in the world, with the highest income per Capita, Qatar is today the mysterious destination that attracts the interest of every investor and every businessman in the world.

As a firm believer in Qatar's future growth, and the overwhelming expansion of the esteemed Qatari companies on a Global level, KPMG has decided to host its 2008 annual Middle East and South Asia (MESA) Region Partners' conference in Doha, Qatar. KPMG in the MESA region numbers over 4,000 professionals from KPMG member firms based in the principal cities of Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bahrain, Egypt, Iran, Kuwait, Lebanon, Oman, Pakistan, Qatar, The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Sri Lanka (Including The Maldives), Syria, The United Arab Emirates and Yemen.

The agenda will shed the spotlight on the ever changing global business scenario and its impact on the MESA region, from fluctuating oil prices, investor confidence in the region, the credit crunch and most essentially the role of Sovereign Wealth Funds.
