HH Sheikh Majid reiterates support for Dubai Autism Center's initiatives

HH Sheikh Majid Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of Dubai Culture and Arts Authority, visited Dubai Autism Center (DAC) to express his strong support for its initiatives and activities. He was received by Mohammed Al Emadi, Board Member and Director General of Dubai Autism Center, Members of the Board as well as other staff members.

HH Sheikh Majid toured the Dubai Autism Center and its facilities and expressed keen interest in knowing more about its services and the initiatives being undertaken to improve them.

In his presence, the DAC team presented a report on its specialised services for people and families affected by autism as well as its campaign to raise autism awareness.

HH Sheikh Majid said;
"Dubai is keen to respond to the needs and requirements of all segments of society. We are particularly keen to develop organisations and facilities, which will help raise the quality of life of people with special needs. The Dubai Autism Center serves an important humanitarian mission by helping to develop the skills of autistic children and integrate them into society as productive members."


HE Dr Omar Bin Sulaiman, Governor of the DIFC and Vice Chairman of Dubai Autism Center said: "His Highness' visit reflects his keen interest in the progress of humanitarian and social initiatives in Dubai and demonstrates his support for the initiatives of the Dubai Autism Centre. His visit today has provided considerable encouragement to staff members of the DAC as well families affected by autism. The Dubai Autism Center is working to implement the strategic objectives outlined by HH Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of the Dubai Autism Center, as part of which, Dubai seeks to provide each individual in the Emirate the services and support he or she needs."

Mohammed Al Emadi, Director General and Member of the Board of Directors, Dubai Autism Center, said the visit reflects HH Sheikh Majid's concern for people with special needs and his keenness to understand and resolve the issues faced by organisations serving people with special needs.

HH's visit also reflects Dubai's efforts to develop such organisations in Dubai into world-class centers.

Al Emadi said:
"HH Sheikh Majid's visit left a lasting impression on all staff members. It was a strong expression of his commitment towards humanitarian initiatives like the DAC."


Al Emadi stressed the importance of the support the Dubai Autism Center gets from its permanent partners and the involvement of the larger community in achieving its goals.

He reiterated DAC's strong focus on providing quality educational services in line with the highest international standards.

He also thanked all those who have contributed to the DAC's efforts to support children and families affected by autism.

Sara Baqer, Community Service Unit Coordinator at Dubai Autism Center, said that the centre is working hard to improve the quality of support and services provided to people with special needs.

At the end of the visit, Al Emadi thanked HH Sheikh Majid for his help stressing that HH's support has been one of the key factors behind the DAC's success and achievements.
