Target Engineering Construction Company WLL awarded contracts totaling Dhs272m in Qatar and Abu Dhabi

Target Engineering Construction Company WLL has been awarded a QR40.2m contract by FISIA ITALIPIAMTI / QEWC for the electrical erection, instrumentation and control works at Qatar - Ras Abu Fontas Phase A1 Desalination Plant.

The company is also currently working on two other projects in Qatar, namely the erection, testing and commissioning works for the 400 KV substation for Mesaieed Combined Cycle Power Plant (QR23m); and the Qatalum Project - Service Areas and Pot Room Building for the Qatar Petroleum & Hydro Aluminum (QR71.4m).

The main contractor for the Qatalum Project is SNC Lavlin.

In Abu Dhabi Target Engineering Construction Company WLL was awarded an Dhs100m contract by GS Engineering and Construction, Korea for the Green Diesel Project, TAKREER, Ruwais.

The scope includes steel structure installation, mechanical and piping erection for the tankage and flare area, and the interconnection pipe rack and revamping areas.

The company has also started executing an Dhs30m subcontract with Tecnimont for revamping works for the BOROUGE in Ruwais. The scope includes steel supply and erection, mechanical, insulation, and finishing works.

Target's Marine Division is currently installing an Dhs9m temporary docking facility at Al Reem Island for TRANSCO/ABB, Abu Dhabi.

The steel sheet piled jetty is approximately 45 x 20 metres and includes shore protection.

Target Engineering Construction Company WLL is projecting a turnover of Dhs1.3bn for 2008, with more than Dhs3bn worth of projects in hand.
