Located in one of the most disadvantaged areas of the kingdom, the Disabled Social Rehabilitation Centre of Jerash Camp serves a community of over 25,000 citizens living in very difficult circumstances deprived of decent living requirements. The number of beneficiaries is approximately 58 children in the day care centre and 164 children and of the elderly receiving home based treatments and empowerment skills.
T.Gargour & Fils served its communal duty towards this organization through directly sponsoring the centre and generating a direct impact on the patients of the Jerash Camp through providing the opportunity to purchase new and upgraded equipment, care services and medications necessary for the development of this disadvantaged area and empowerment of its human resources.
Ina'am Abu Jdei', the Director of the Center, stated:
"The centre was founded in 1985 by UNRWA. It was initially funded by the British OXFAM which committed to a funding tenure that ended on 1994. Ever since, we have been depending greatly on the generosity and good will of donating organizations, thus TGF's contribution is a truly noble initiative dedicated solely to making a genuine positive impact amongst the less fortunate."
"We have continuously allocated colossal importance to the development of our national community through the empowerment of the less fortunate especially those facing physical challenges. Reinforcing our social role in alleviating the living circumstances of the less fortunate is without a doubt an integral part of our operations and our contribution to the Social Rehabilitation Centre of Jerash Camp is a simple token of our appreciation to our national society that will be consolidated by many initiatives yet to follow," stated Mr. Nadim Gargour, Chairman, TGF.
