Khaleeji Commercial Bank announces sponsorship of Bahrain University's symposium on "Islamic Banks...Roles & Features"

Khaleeji Commercial Bank (KHCB) announced today that it is a Silver Sponsor of Bahrain University's upcoming symposium about Islamic banks, as well as their roles and key features, which is being organized by the Business College Society.
In addition, KHCB will contribute two featured speakers for the forum. The Head of Shari'a, Abdul Nasser Al Mahmood, as well as the Head of Treasury at Khaleeji Commercial Bank, Mr. Hussam Saif will give presentations during the event. The organizers are expecting a turnout of over 1000 students from across the region.
Mr. Ebrahim H. Ebrahim, CEO and Board Member of Khaleeji Commercial Bank, commented on the sponsorship. The three day symposium will focus on the methods used for establishing Islamic banking, distinguishing traditional banking from Shari'a banking, and the last day of the forum will focus on the global financial crisis and how it is affecting the Middle East.
Mr. Mahdi A. Nabi Mohammed, AGM of Operations and Administrations at Khaleeji Commercial Bank presented the cheque of sponsorship to the head of the organizing committee for the forum, Abdalla Mohammed Bucheery, and committee member, Mohammed Hasan Al Sulaiti in a private ceremony held at the Bank.
