Free diabetes screenings in Oman

To participate and celebrate World Diabetes Day on November 14, Welcare Diagnostic and Treatment Center will offer free monitoring of blood sugar to residents of Oman. The World Diabetes Day has been chosen by the World Health Organisation to alert the public of the pandemic of diabetes and related cardiovascular diseases. The number of people with diabetes around the world is predicted to double over the next 25 years, and this epidemic is set to contribute to an explosion of cardiovascular disease, as warned by the International Diabetes Federation.
