Forbes Magazine names Tech Data one of the world's Best Big Companies

Tech Data Corporation (NASDAQ/NMS: TECD), a leading worldwide provider of IT products, logistics management and other value-added services, has again been named to Forbes magazine's Platinum List of the 400 Best Big Companies in the world.
Forbes selects the Platinum 400 from a list of over 1,000 U.S. and international companies with at least $1 billion in annual sales. To be considered for the list, Forbes editors insisted companies meet or exceed the highest level of financial requirements related to growth and profitability in both sales and earnings.
"Receiving this recognition for the fifth consecutive year reflects the dedication of our employees as well as their expertise in providing unparalleled service to our customers," said Steve Lockie, managing director, Tech Data FZ-LLC.
Tech Data operates with one of the healthiest balance sheets in the industry. The company has strong cash flow generation through working capital management, executes superior cost control, and has reduced its net indebtedness by $1.3 billion since January 31, 2001. The company also provides unmatched services in the industry, which was recently underscored when customers named it their preferred source in the 18th annual CRN Sourcing Study, 2002.
