Batelco on list for Best Customer Care Award

Batelco, Bahrain's leading integrated communications provider, is very honoured to be one of only three companies to be shortlisted for the Best Customer Care in the Middle East, according to Batelco General Manager Media and Government Relations Ahmed Al Janahi.

He said that the Kingdom's flagship telecommunications company has been shortlisted as one of three finalists in the Best in Customer Care category by an expert panel representing the region's 2nd annual Telecoms World Awards programme.

Batelco's is pitched against two leading companies for the crown which will be revealed at the award event in Dubai on November 18th 2008.

"The Telecoms World Awards recognise and celebrate those companies and individuals who have demonstrated an unparalleled ability to succeed, continually set standards of excellence, and who will continue to be the future stars of the industry," Mr. Al Janahi said.

"This recognition by the industry reflects our commitment to our customers and recognises the significant improvements made to differentiate Batelco and provide our valued customers with outstanding 24/7 customer service across mobiles, fixed and internet, services."

Last year, Batelco was named as the industry's Best Internet Service Provider. Meanwhile, in 2006, Batelco came out trumps in the Fixed Operator of the Year challenge.

Mr. Al Janahi recognised that the competition is stiff and standards high and said that the awards are judged by a panel of some of the biggest and best names in the Telecoms industry.

"We have some tough competition as the Best in Customer Care award is open to all fixed and mobile operators."
