Stiff competition is driving the growth of the region's notebook market, so vendors are introducing high performance machines to woo customers.

Acer, the number one PC vendor in the Europe Middle East and Africa region (MENA) and third globally, has introducing the Aspire 5735 - a high performance consumer notebook, complete with high definition multimedia for use at home or on the go.

The Aspire 5735, consumer notebook featuring an innovative 15.6' panel with native 16:9 aspect ratio, is designed for high definition multimedia at home or on the go.

Clothed in Acer's eye-catching Gemstone design, the Aspire 5735 presents a cool, confident look and delivers functionality, enduring style and superb usability. The cover is shaped to resemble a precious stone, with the Acer logo floating on a polished midnight sapphire sublayer. The palm rest area has a matt grey finish that gives remarkable tactile feedback, while contrasting with the gleaming cover. Easy to use media keys allow access to frequently used functions and allow total multimedia control. The multi-gesture touchpad with circular-motion scrolling and pinch-action zoom puts swift, flawless navigation and intuitive zoom in and out at your fingertips.

Designed for high-definition multimedia entertainment at home or on the go, the Aspire 5735 boasts a 15.6' HD Acer CineCrystal TFT LCD panel with a 1366 x 768 pixel resolution, high brightness and a native 16:9 aspect ratio for a true cinematic view. Movies come to life via the Acer CineCrystal panel that ensures exceptional realism through intense colour saturation, superior contrast ratio and clearer edges.

The display with WCG (Wide Colour Gamut) presents more colour range intensity than typical notebook panels, making games and movies more captivating. Plus, the 8 ms high-def response time diminishes ghosting in fast-motion gaming and flawlessly displays all the speedy action scenes from the latest movies.

Furthermore, the new Aspire 5735 integrates Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 4500MHD, two built-in Acer 3DSonic stereo speakers and high-definition audio support for a complete entertainment enjoyment.

Powered by Intel Centrino 2 processor technology, the Aspire 5735 features the latest Intel Core 2 Duo processor - based on Intel 45nm technology, supporting Intel 64 architecture to deliver greater performance and power efficiency - and Mobile Intel GM45 Express chipset to bring a richer digital entertainment experience and smooth multitasking.

Large capacity Serial ATA hard disks provide users with plenty of storage space, allow the system to boot up and load applications faster, and enable rapid data access. Up to 4GB of dualchannel DDR2 667MHz allow a smooth operation flow.

The Aspire 5735 comes with Intel Wireless WiFi Link 5100/5300 (dual-band quad-mode 802.11a/b/g/Draft-N) Wi-Fi CERTIFIED network connection, featuring MIMO technology, supporting Acer SignalUp with Nplifywireless technology that provides maximum interoperability and smooth connection to wireless networks.

Additionally, the Acer Video Conference solution integrating real-time video and voice over internet delivers highly mobile and extremely flexible communication. The Acer Video Conference solution includes the Acer Crystal Eye webcam, an optional Acer Xpress VoIP phone, for hands-free VoIP via a Bluetooth connection for added freedom, and Acer Video Conference Manager, that provides quick and easy setup.
