We are very close to achieving our goal. Our year-end results, to be announced shortly, should confirm that despite the global slowdown, the automotive industry in the UAE and the rest of the region - a market that has traditionally defied conventions - will be able to weather the storm,"
said Michel Ayat, CEO, Arabian Automobiles.
Looking further ahead, Ayat even sees the leading Nissan dealer in the region being in a better position next year.
"2009 is going to be an exciting year for us because in the first quarter we will start selling the highly anticipated Nissan GT-R which has already become a spectacular hit globally and a technological tour de force for the Nissan brand. In fact, we have been inundated with requests for this car and we're pleased to announce that our sales staff are now open to accept pre-orders for this amazing product, " he added.
Currently, Arabian Automobiles is rolling out updated 2009 models in Nissan's SUV range, which at eight models represents the largest choice in the Middle East. "We're giving car enthusiasts a preview of the 2009 Xterra at the International Automobile Show, with a special off-road package that enthusiasts will rave about; as well as our best-selling Infiniti FX models including the new 5.0-litre V8 FX50 which we launched earlier this year," Ayat continued.
Arabian Automobiles' participation at the biennial auto expo in Sharjah also confirms the dealer's aggressive push in the emirate, where it has grown considerably in recent years. Ayat proudly shares that Arabian Automobiles now has two showrooms in Sharjah, a reflection of the company's expansion and focus in that area.
"We're moving northwards toward Dibba where we see a strong growth potential in the coming years. Admittedly, we're taking the current crisis into consideration, but we are very optimistic our plans will push through as scheduled,"
Ayat ended.
Arabian Automobiles is participating in the International Auto Show for the ninth straight year, featuring one of the largest stands in the exhibition - Nissan is at Stand No. 750 in Hall 2, while Infiniti is at Stand No. 520 in Hall 3.
