- PRESS RELEASE
Raffles Dubai brought home two coveted awards at The Hotelier Middle East Awards ceremony last night, in what proved to be yet another tremendous achievement for Raffles Dubai's Food & Beverage team, following their success at Time Out Dubai Restaurant Awards in March.
The prestigious gala dinner and ceremony, organized by Hotelier Middle East, is considered a key event within the industry. Now in its fourth consecutive year, the evening saw over 400 of the region's hospitality professionals attend the black tie dinner.
The Hotelier Middle East Awards recognises a broad range of front and back-of-house roles, from Chefs to Front Office Personnel boasting 19 award categories this year to compete in. The Hotelier Middle East Awards are a celebration of excellence where the winners truly are the heroes that make all the difference.
Hotelier Middle East's Editor Chris Jackson commented on the event: "The Hotelier Middle East Awards aims to redress the balance. They reward the often-unrecognised individuals that make the region's hotels some of the very best in the world. They give those back-of-house heroes that so often go unnoticed their chance to shine, and bask in the glory bestowed upon them by their peers."
Christoph G. Ganster, Hotel Manager, Raffles Dubai, said: "We are thrilled with these two awards which recognise the excellent workof two of our key members, in their respective categories. These achievements add to the previous awards Fire & Ice - Raffles Cellar & Grill received, and are a testament of the team's continuous efforts in striving to provide an exceptional dining experience for our patrons".
2008 has been a sterling year for Raffles Dubai. Earlier this year, The Noble House restaurant brought home the highly coveted awards for "Restaurant of the Year 2008", "Best Newcomer" and "Best Chinese" while Fire & Ice - Raffles Cellar & Grill received the highly commended titles for "Best Newcomer" and "Best Steakhouse" at the TimeOut Dubai Restaurant Awards, which recognized the finest restaurants in the city.
