British Airways launches fourth daily Dubai service with club world mega sale

  • United Arab Emirates: Monday, November 17 - 2008 at 11:40
  • PRESS RELEASE

British Airways, the UK's flagship carrier, is adding a fourth daily service, operating five days a week, on its Dubai - London Heathrow route from January 2nd 2009.

The five additional weekly services - to be operated on a four-class British Airways Boeing 777 - will increase the airline's flights between the emirate and the UK's principal airport, British Airways' £4.3bn Terminal 5 home at London Heathrow, to 26 per week.

The lowest premium cabin fare on offer between the two hubs, British Airways' Club World offer is valid on all bookings made during the November 15 - 30th promotional period.

"We are adding a fourth daily Dubai - London flight, five days a week, from January due to the popularity of our existing three daily services,"
said Paul Starrs, British Airways' Commercial manager, Middle East.

"In a year in which commercial aviation has probably faced the harshest trading environment in history, we have nearly doubled our Dubai-London services in the last two months alone - I think that speaks volumes about how important the Dubai and wider Middle East market is to British Airways.

"The popularity of the UK, Europe and North America over the holiday season and in the New Year should ensure these special sale fares sell out very quickly, so I'd urge customers to book as soon as possible to avoid disappointment," added Starrs.
