Mena Telecom has been the proud sponsor of Manama Basketball Club through 2007 & 2008 when the team clenched the Bahrain Basketball Cup title. Following this win, Mena Telecom announced its commitment to continue sponsoring the Manama team for 2008 and 2009, wishing them success and many accomplishments.
Present at the signing was Mr. Abdul Razak Jawahery, Executive Manager Kuwait Finance House - Bahrain (KFH), representing KFH as Vice Chairman and Managing Director of Mena Telecom, Mr. Zuhair Kazerooni, Manama Club President, in addition to Mena Telecom team and Manama Club board members,
Mr. Abdul Razak Jawahery commented on the event, "Mena Telecom has long been committed to promoting, developing and nurturing sporting excellence in the Kingdom. The Manama Basketball Club has made us proud and we will continue to support them in any way we can".
Mr. Kazerooni said, "We are grateful to Mena Telecom for all the support and encouragement we have received over the past two years, and with that support, we hope to bring home the Bahrain Basketball Cup in 2009".
Mena Telecom has been playing an active role in further advancing sporting talent in the Kingdom and will continue to support local clubs in achieving this aim.
