said Firas Barbir, Business Development Manager of Porsche Centre Bahrain.'It's been an absolutely exhilarating experience being part of one of the world's renowned races. The eyes of motor sport fans around the world were focused on Bahrain as the country staged its first Porsche Carrera Cup Challenge Asia, and we at Porsche Center Bahrain are proud to contribute to what can be termed as both an enormously successful event, and one which will put the spotlight firmly on our dynamic country,'
The Porsche Carrera Cup Asia was established in 2003, and immediately set new standards in both competition quality and organisational excellence, attracting racers from not only Asia, but also from Europe and Australia. The Bahrain season-closer marked the series' first foray to the Middle East, as it continues to spread its wings across Asia.
'Our involvement with motor racing will provide us with a definite advantage when it comes to the designing and management of various sporting events in the future,' continued Mr. Barbir.
The Porsche Carrera Cup Asia regularly supports Asian rounds of the Formula One World Championship, but for the first time also featured a V8 Supercars event that attracted fans from all-over the GCC and Asia.
One of the most iconic names in sports car motoring, Porsche is synonymous with well-built, highly-engineered sports cars which provide the ultimate performance on the road.
