To support the Emirates A380 par 4 and to celebrate the 50th edition of the Hong Kong Open, Emirates will be making a donation to the Youth Outreach Charity for every professional who birdies the hole over the four days of play. This charity donation will also be supplemented by proceeds from a nearest to the pin event in the Pro-Am tournament and a public charity hole-in-one competition also run by Emirates in support of their partnership.
Edwin Lau, Emirates' Vice President - Hong Kong & China, said:
"We are very excited about the A380 par 4 as this is the first time that something like this has been attempted by a sponsor. We are a business that thrives on 'firsts' and so we're proud to be originating this concept at the Hong Kong Open , we look forward to seeing all the players in this year's field pit their prodigious talents against the A380 par 4. Emirates is a pioneer in sports sponsorship and we feel this activity serves to reinforce that position."
