'Chef Master, The Art of Cuisine' has started

'Chef Master, The Art of Cuisine' has been officially opened under the patronage of Dr. Mariam Al Jalahma (Asst. Undersecretry of Primary Care and Public Health) at 6:00 PM on Sunday the 16th of November 2008 at Seef Mall, Bahrain.

The Chefs Challenge that is taking place in Bahrain for the first time is under the patronage of the Ministry of Health, supported by the Ministry of Tourism and organized by HOTEC Company, a division of SJ Media Group. 'Chef Master' will be held until the 19th of November 2008.

A number of important figures, executive Chefs and Food specialists will be part of the judging committee which will consist of the Head of jury, Mr. Elie Reaidy (Director of HOTEC), Mr. Abdullah Baqer (Chief of Food Hygiene), Mr. Najeeb Rihan (F&B Manager of Elite Spa and Resorts), Mr. Jabbour Bou Daher (General Manager of Le Notre Paris) and Chef Susy Massetti (Executive Chef in Diplomat Radisson Hotel). They will all be present to judge the Chefs' achievements.

Competitors are professional Chefs coming from Restaurants and Hotels from all over Bahrain such as Diplomat Radisson Hotel, Café Vergnano, Days Hotel, Aroma Restaurant, Le Chocolat, Elite Hospitality, Teatro Restaurant and Future Management.

Elie Reaidy, Director of HOTEC and the creator of 'Chef Master' Challenge, said:
"'Chef Masters' proved its success from day one. I am happy that this Challenge is providing a proper environment for Chefs to honorably compete."


Each Chef will be given 45 minutes to make an appetizer, salad and a main course. Dr. Al Jalahma will also be there on the 19th of November 2008 to distribute the Certificates and Trophies to the Competitors.
