Johnson Controls appoints VP and Managing Director for the Middle East

US based Johnson Controls announced the appointment of Magdy A. Mekky as the new Vice President and Managing Director for their operations in the Middle East.

Johnson Controls is the global leader in the supply of integrated building solutions and services, security systems and fire alarm systems.

Johnson Controls serves the market through its offices in UAE, Qatar, Egypt, Oman, Bahrain, Lebanon and Turkey, through its joint venture with Al Salem, a subsidiary of Saudi Bin Laden group in Saudi Arabia and through its wide network of distributors and business partners. Johnson Controls is a preferred supplier for several real estate development companies and district cooling service providers.

In the Middle East, Johnson Controls has supplied its equipment and controls for projects of prestige as the Bahrain Bay Project in Bahrain, the Pearl development in Qatar and the Kingdom tower and Jebel Al Qala in Saudi Arabia.

"Magdy has been working in the Middle East for over 28 years and has been with Johnson Controls since 1985. Prior to this position, he successfully served as Managing Director at our joint venture in Saudi Arabia where he established our manufacturing facility and the service operation. He holds a B.Sc degree in Mechanical Engineering, a Masters in Business Administration and has courses in Economics, Accounting and general management to his credit," added Mr.Martin.
