The Roadshow will gather government sector representatives together to explore how technology continues to revolutionize government performance and service delivery across the MEA region, particularly in providing value for citizens and meeting regulatory objectives. The topics to be covered include IT simplification, datacenter and energy efficiency, datacenter trends, Web security, and wide area network acceleration, as well as a view of the public sector in 2020. Among the event's keynote speakers, Kenny Wilson, CIO/CTO of Injazat Data Systems, will be presenting new insights into datacenter trends and providing practical advice on how to achieve excellence and contribute to business value.

Mr. Wilson says:

'We support IDC's prediction that technology innovations and architectures will influence major changes in government business and IT investment decisions.'

'That is why we continue to enhance our capabilities and expand our services, so that we can help the government sector's transition from legacy systems to new ones that will enable it to attain higher levels of efficiency and service delivery. Right now, we can see several forward-thinking MEA governments, such as the UAE, investing heavily in ICT infrastructure as they strive to create a truly digital society,' he added.

The UAE leads Gulf and broader Middle Eastern initiatives to transform into a digital society and has emerged as a regional leader in IT-enabled government services. It topped the latest ICT readiness index of the Global Information Technology Report, a joint study conducted by World Economic Forum and INSEAD. It also ranked first among Arab countries for e-government readiness in a 2008 survey conducted by the UN Department of Economic and Social Affairs. Host city Abu Dhabi is undertaking significant infrastructural improvements to contribute to the country's emergence as a regional IT hub.

Injazat continues to position itself as a dominant player in the domestic and regional IT markets through key initiatives such as the recent establishment of its Tier IV datacenter in Abu Dhabi, the first facility of its kind outside of North America. The Injazat Institute (TI2), the IT company's unique professional development initiative, has also been instrumental in encouraging UAE nationals to enhance their participation in private and public sector activities.
