NBAD goes mobile

The National Bank of Abu Dhabi has rolled out a new SMS-based payment service to allow customers to pay, send, and receive money 24 hours a day. These "Arrow" services are the first in an 18-month roll-out that will extend to remittances, salary payouts, merchant payments and bill payments, according to the company. The bank has said in the first stage of the service roll-out, the system will allow users of the service to make transfers from their NBAD bank account to anyone in the UAE using their mobile phones.
