Temsa Egypt launches first after-sales and spare parts center in bid to ensure customer satisfaction

Temsa, one of Europe's premier commercial vehicle manufacturers, has announced the opening of its first after-sales and spare parts center, located in the first industrial zone, 6th of October City.
Mehmet Buldurgan, CEO of Temsa Global, expressed his pleasure for the operation's success following the start of bus production last April, and he also emphasized that the company strives to fulfill its clients' every expectation and, in doing so, relies heavily on experience dating back to 1987. The after-sales center was designed to meet stringent European standards of every type, including those relating to environment conversation and waste management. It is highly probable that the company will be awarded ISO 9001 certification in the very near future.
Temsa Egypt Chairman, Eng. Hossam Lasheen complimented on his European partners' confidence in the Egyptian market, assuring the abundance of technical talent and assured the abundance of technical talent as well as all the elements required for success in domestic and regional markets.
Eng. Lasheen added that the center, consisting of a closed service space of 3000 sq.m. and a total surface area of 6000 sq.m., would serve as the principal spare parts warehouse for Temsa Global's highly successful regional markets in the Middle East and North Africa. The center comprises the workshop, spare parts warehouse, showroom, administration and a customer lounge fitted with a variety of amenities for comfort.
The workshop is equipped with 7 indoor work bays as well as a further 10 in the adjacent out-door area, all designed to accommodate the full range of Temsa vehicles ranging in length from 7 meters to 14 meters. Three hoists are also available for undercarriage work and can be used in case of workspace shortages. The center is also equipped with a range of sophisticated diagnostic equipment to repair engines manufactured by MAN (Germany) and CUMMINS (Britain), break testing, wheel alignment and headlight calibration.
The Chairman confirmed that the center employs 20 specialists, all of whom have received extensive theoretical and on-the-job training in both Turkey and Egypt. In addition, the company has in place an on-going job retraining program designed to constantly update technical staff and therefore, maintain optimal performance. The center also maintains open lines of communication with Temsa's Research and Development division in Turkey, responsible for vehicle design, and the Tenth of Ramadan assembly plant. Such communication guarantees synergy among the group's various units.
It is worth noting that the Temsa Egypt After Sales and Spare Parts Center is just the first step in the group's regional strategy. Similar facilities are planned for Sharm El Sheikh, Hurgada, Luxor and Alexandria.
The company also provides two fully-equipped mobile trucks for on-site repair of breakdowns.
The coach manufacturing plant of the company is located at 10th of Ramadan City, 50 km east of Cairo and has an annual production capacity of 500 coaches and 500 midibuses, based on a one-shift workday. The facility is built on a total surface area of 80000 sq.m., encompassing 33000 sq.m. of closed workspace, and employs a total workforce of 750 at full capacity.
