R&M's training academy celebrates a successful first year

The academy was the first to be launched outside of their Homeland Switzerland.

Established to demonstrate R&M's commitment towards one of the most important markets for the company, the academy based in R&M Middle East HQ, in Dubai, Dubai Airport Free Zone is dedicated to providing high-level networking training to ME professionals and giving something back to the regional community. R&M superseded its targets for the Middle East with 119% growth last year.

"With the ongoing increase in IT spending in the region, the sector is growing and advancing, however there is a shortage of skilled individuals to support these technologies. R&M academy's objective is to contribute towards upping standards in the networking space and play a central role in training and transferring knowledge to professionals in this domain,"

said Eugene Botes RCDD/NTS, R&M Middle East & Africa.

R&M's academy training and courses have been put in place by a certified BICSI RCDD Instructor who has more than 25 years experience in the industry.

The R&M academy's training facilities are of a high standard and are considered to be one of the top in the region. The academy offers a range of courses such as, Fiber cable installation and termination, Copper cable installation and termination, Copper and fiber testing, Copper, fiber and infrastructure design for structured cabling system.

"As the cabling industry expands, more highly skilled networking professionals will be in demand across different markets in the region. Hence the growing need for high standards of training that ensure professionals are up to speed with the fast pace of technology developments," concluded Botes.

Graduates of the academy have been from both the general public and R&M partners; heralding from different disciplines, such as salespeople, designers, planners, as well as end users.
