Under the theme 'Leveraging technology through turbulent times', the conference features high-profile speakers from the industry's best-run financial institutions, including Barclays, Allied Irish Bank, Lloyds TSB, Al Hilal Bank, Kenya Commercial Bank and Bank of Maharashtra, among others.
Chris Skinner, Chairman of the MEFTEC 2009 Conference comments: "After a massively turbulent year in the financial markets, this year's MEFTEC is timelier than ever. It is also different to last year's conference and will deliver a much broader, richer and deeper experience for our delegates."
The conference programme covers a broad variety of presentations, ranging from IT security to outsourcing, from Web 2.0 to core banking systems, and from mobile technologies to the future of banking technology.
Syed Faisal Abbas, Project Director, MEFTEC, said:
"We are delighted that some of the industry's brightest minds will be sharing their experiences at this year's conference. This is by far the most international programme in the event's five-year history and we are confident that it will be well-received by the region's financial IT community."
