The 5,500 attendees, who included a significant number of high level technical experts and key industry professionals from all over the world, discussed the various issues, updates and advancements across all sectors of the oil and gas industry via a host of technical sessions that took place over the three day conference. They were also afforded a unique opportunity to expand their professional networks, share ideas and view points and take home a host of lessons learned in each of their individual fields.

Mr. Adel A. Aloumi, Director General at the Dhahran International Exhibition Centre said:

'The Eastern Province is home to Aramco and is the focal point for the oil & gas industry internationally, and SAOGE has reaffirmed that international recognition. SAOGE will be used annually as a tool to support the growth of the oil and gas industry by bringing together the avant-garde products, papers and solutions offered around the globe.'

Piero Zipoli, President, IES thanked Saudi ARAMCO for their support and added that, 'It is clear from the high turnout of this dynamic group of key industry professionals and business leaders that SAOGE is recognized as a key oil and gas event for the Eastern Province of Saudi Arabia and for the Middle East as a whole. We look forward to welcoming companies and delegates back to next year for SAOGE 2009 on the 18 - 20 of October. We already have received many bookings of companies from this year's exhibitors, which is a good indicator of how useful the event has been for the many local, regional and international industry leaders who attended and the quality of the discussions and technical presentations on the various topical aspects of the industry.'
