Mohd Daud Bakar to address Wealth Management Summit in Dubai

Dr. Mohd Daud Bakar, President and CEO, International Institute of Islamic Finance, Malaysia, will be addressing the 'Wealth Management Summit' in Dubai on 25 - 28 January 2009 at the Mövenpick Hotel, Bur Dubai.

Dr. Bakar will deliver a crucial address at the summit, speaking on 'Maximising on the growth of potential shari'ah compliant products'.

As well as featuring high profile speakers from some of the region's largest retail and investment banks including Dresdner Bank, NBAD Private Bank, Emirates NBD, ABN AMRO Bank Middle East, EFG-Hermes, and National Bank of Fujairah, Gilles Rollet, CEO, Mirabaud, UAE will evaluate the volatility of the stock market on wealth management practices and will identify how the credit crisis has affected the Middle East.

The summit has been developed by the Finance IQ division of International Quality & Productivity Center (IQPC), the global providers of tailored, industry-driven conferences. The expert panel of speakers are from high profile institutions both in the GCC and internationally. They will be addressing the most crucial topics that affect the industry.

Topics under discussion will include how to capitalise on ways in which to grow your client portfolio, evaluating the success of onshore/offshore combined platforms for HNWIs, identifying and meeting the needs of HNWIs and identifying how the geographical redistribution of wealth is affecting the growth strategies of banks.

El Nahas and Janssen will be presenting at the Summit and will evaluate estate planning and solutions. The foundation structure created out of the Netherlands will also be discussed.

Furthermore, The American Academy of Financial Management (AAFM) will hold an exclusive two day certified workshop on Leading Wealth Management Businesses Through Tough Times. This practical workshop has been specifically developed for the summit and will be led by Brett King, CEO - International, AAFM.
