7 DM departments get ISO 9001:2000

He was speaking during awarding of the ISO 9001:2000 certificates for seven organizational units in the Municipality by Norway-based Det Norske Veritas (DNV), the international ISO certification body. Henrick Madson, CEO of DNV was also present on the occasion.

The certificates were received by Yousef Al Shamsi, Director of Internal Audit Department, Makiya Al Hajiri, Director of Children's City, Abdul Qader Al Jassmi, Director of Legal Affairs Department, Eng. Mohammed Noor Mashroom, Director of General Projects Department, Khalid Mohammed Badri, Director of Corporate Marketing and Relations Department, Humaid Al Marri, Director of Transportation Department and Dawood Al Hajiri, Director of Planning Department. Members of the working groups of all departments were also present on the occasion.

The preparation process for obtaining the certificates took more than a year during which all organizational units in the Municipality exerted earnest efforts, especially in the organizational review process, and the quality system scrutiny followed all over the world. The process was supervised and conducted in cooperation with the Corporate Excellence Department in the Municipality.

It is worth mention that getting qualified with the international quality specification ISO 9001:2000 is a proof of the establishment achieving the requirements for productivity and service that conform to the standards up to the customers' expectations as well as the local and international rules.

It also strengthens the standards of customer satisfaction by effectively applying the requirements for the quality system, which ensures better performance and constant development as well as adherence to the customer demands and local and international specifications and standards.
