"With the completion of water canal works by 100%, which is considered one the most important stages of development, Al Hanoo is preparing to enter a new stage of development for one of the largest and most distinct waterfront projects in the region, especially."
The company has also adopted new technologies to protect island headings from drifting by 85%, by preventing erosion caused by water movement.
Deviation of canal banks were steadied and covered with white sand, which is imbued with special characteristics.
"As for island headings, necessary precautions were taken to prevent rare cases of drifting by installing an 80cm-thick rocky layer and a 8cm-thick geo-textile barrier, which will prevent soil grains from entering the water of the canals," added Al Shakrah.
The engineering staff at Al Hanoo Holding has completed water canal works, and finished the final adjustments on the project's master plan, at a cost of Dhs600m, by implementing a new water cycling system.
In the next stage of development, Al Hanoo seeks to complete the linking of the islands through a carefully studied hydraulic method to avoid any sudden pressure caused by seawater entering the canals.
