Minimax was present at the show as an exhibitor on the booth of ITEC Egypt, the Egyptian trade association promoting exports of IT products and services.
Alongside sales, Minimax will also manage implementation of the CRM solution.
Its main target groups are telecoms providers and service companies.
Salzburg-based Sunrise Software has focused on developing and selling its "Sunrise Software Relations CRM" solution for over ten years.
Its range of functions includes sales force automation, service, workflow and document management. Sunrise Software's overarching goal is ease of use, so that the complexity of the applications and their technology remains hidden from end users, yet flexible enough to adapt to their needs.
"Along with software development, our core competencies include web design and the formatting and presentation of multimedia content - so know how important it is that users can intuitively figure out how to use a product."said Dr. Esam Algohari, CEO of Minimax.
"The software should guide and support users in their work and never expect them to think like a developer. The user interface design is a major strength of Sunrise Software and one of the reasons why we wanted to partner with them. We believe we'll see strong demand for their CRM solution in the Gulf region, especially from companies with a large number of end customers."
Minimax is an Egyptian IT service provider offering a complete range of services that span software development, sales, consulting, implementation, service and support; the creation of web and multimedia content; and outsourcing.
The company is a system integration partner in the Middle East for several ERP and CRM providers.
Minimax customers include companies and organizations in the retail, industrial and public sectors in the Middle East, Europe and the USA. Minimax employs 60 staff in Egypt, the United Arab Emirates, and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Sunrise Software sells its products both directly and through partners.
"There's strong demand for software solutions in the Middle East. This is why we needed a partner who is at culturally at home and has subsidiaries in the region, and who can provide a full range of services from the initial consultation through to implementation and after-sales support," said Franz Nussbaumer, CEO at Sunrise Software.
"But more than anything else, we believe a partner should be able to convey the benefits of a really user-friendly interface in a convincing way. After a very detailed evaluation phase, we decided that Minimax best meets these criteria - and this is why we are granting them exclusive rights to sell our software in selected countries in the Gulf region."
The agreement between Sunrise Software and Minimax enters into effect on 25 November 2008. Minimax staff will initially be trained in Salzburg and start sales activities in January 2009.
