Bahrain Air announces launch of its first flight to Kuwait City

The Bahrain based first Premium service carrier with affordable fares, is a private national carrier located in Bahrain, operating within MENA countries and in Iran & the Indian Sub Continent.

Bahrain Air is pleased to announce the launch of its first flight to Kuwait City as part of its expansion within the GCC, where Kuwait is the fourth station in the GCC.

On this occasion, Bahrain Air celebrated at Kuwait International Airport and the Inaugural flight was accompanied by a number of officials from the Embassy of Kuwait, headed by Mr. Falah Mjbel Al Azmi the Diplomat Attaché of the Embassy of Kuwait in the Kingdom of Bahrain as well as the Senior Management of Bahrain Air, which was led by Mr. Ibrahim Abdullah Al Hamer, managing director of Bahrain Air.

Flight 2B335 was greeted at Kuwait International Airport with a water cannon salute followed by a welcoming ceremony for the arriving delegation and at the gate, Mr. Fawez Al Farah, Director of Civil Aviation of Kuwait, Sheikh Khalifa bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Bahrain's Ambassador to the State of Kuwait and a number of dignitaries, officials and journalists, who welcomed Bahrain Air delegation upon the arrival, followed the Inaugural flight, a reception and press conference which was held at Sheraton Hotel in Kuwait City.

On this occasion, Mr. Ibrahim Abdullah Al Hamer, stated:
"I would like to thank all the officials of Kuwait Civil Aviation for the support and assistance offered to Bahrain Air, as our airline undergoes dynamic development, it is of key importance for us not only to offer new routes and services, but also to become more easily available to our customers. We are introducing new services, at the same time launching new destinations; this reflects the company's determined objectives of expanding, moreover to strengthen and to provide the best service for travellers flying on Bahrain Air." Additionally he added: "We are delighted to introduce Kuwait where it is a major destination for any airline, mainly within the regional market level."


Mean while, Mr. Mohamed Saleh Fakhri Director of Commercial Operations said, "After a long market research the schedule was finalized that the passengers will find it very convenient both business travellers and regular passengers, adding that the price of tickets starting from Kuwait 2 Dinars only as a competitive promotional price."

Bahrain Air will operate 10 weekly direct flights from Bahrain to Kuwait City, including 4 flights from Kuwait to the Beirut, as an additional asset for travellers from Kuwait to and from Beirut.

New destinations planned for launch effective November 2008, and they are Asyut, and Luxor in Egypt, furthermore Khartoum the capital of Sudan will commence on December 2008. Bahrain Air's transit passengers' will experience convenient & seamless connections through Bahrain International Airport (BIA) to their final destinations under one hour, thereby making the airline the ideal option for their travel between the GCC and other beyond international destinations.

Bahrain Air operates a fleet of 3 modern Airbus 320, with 12 seat capacity in Premium Class furbished with comfortable leather seats and ample legroom. A variety of local and international newspapers, magazines, selection of fresh food and beverages ensure the most comfortable flight for Premium Class passengers at very competitive fares. Moreover, the Premium Class passengers are extended an invitation to use the Business Class Lounges at the departure airports. Premium Class passengers as well as the Economy Class passenger will enjoy a variety of in-flight entertainment options while flying and will have the opportunity to select and buy from a wide choice of duty free items competitively priced. With an established 15-hour Regional Call Centre, Bahrain Air also provides service support to customers for any type of travel-related services.
