Give ME students American education, says professor

The President of the American University in Cairo, David Arnold, has suggested that giving an American style education to Middle East students might improve regional development and relations between the US and Middle East. In a Brookings Institution discussion on 'American Education in the Middle East: Smart Power for a New Era' he said that a liberal arts education would prepare students for the job market. Currently, many courses prepare students more for governmental institutions rather than private companies.
