New car models to be launched at Motor Show 2008 in Oman

To be held at the Oman International Exhibition Centre on December 3-6, Motor Show 2008 will display the latest offerings from the world's major auto manufacturers with the participation of leading car dealers in Oman. Among the popular automotive brands that will be represented in the exhibition are Audi, Chrysler, Citroën, Daihatsu, Dodge, Ford, Great Wall, Hino, Jeep, Kia, Lexus, Mazda, Peugeot, Seat, Skoda, Toyota, and Volkswagen.

"All visitors to Motor Show 2008 will surely be amazed and thrilled by the advanced features of the new car models that are now available here in Oman," said C.J. Paul, general manager of Omanexpo LLC, the leading organiser of trade and consumer shows in the sultanate. "Cars continue to improve in their design, technology and safety features and all these will be prominently showcased in the exhibition."

Greatly adding to the excitement at Motor Show 2008 will be the official launching of many new car models. Among those to be formally unveiled are the Volkswagen Passat CC and the Volkswagen Scirocco, both of which are being airlifted all the way from Germany just for the Motor Show in Oman. Other exciting car models that will be introduced to all motoring enthusiasts in the sultanate include the Kia Soul, the new Kia Cerato, the Great Wall Peri, the Skoda Octavia, the new Toyota Yaris, and many others.

Motor Show 2008 is supported by V-Kool Oman as the platinum sponsor, Bank Muscat as the gold sponsor, and Ahli Bank as the floor plan sponsor. Automan Magazine is the event's official publication, while the media partners are Times of Oman, Al Shabiba and H! Magazine.

In addition to the latest car models, Motor Show 2008 will also feature Yamaha motorbikes, all-terrain vehicles from Polaris and Yamaha, and the Segway personal transporter. The four-day event will also present various types of auto parts & accessories as well as products and services for car owners and potential car buyers. Among those to be displayed are automotive tyres, insurance and financing services, auto paints and polishes, motor oils & lubricants, genuine Toyota parts, and many other products.

The exhibition timings for Motor Show 2008 will be from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm and then from 5:00 pm to 10:00 pm, except on Friday, December 5, when it will only be open from 4:00 pm to 10:00 pm. The morning hours of Saturday, December 6, are reserved for ladies and families only. A wide range of exciting activities -- including a 4WD test course, driving simulations, Red Bull BMX stunts and car test drives - will be held on all days of the event for the benefit of all visitors.
