Hyundai takes out two categories at respected awards ceremony

Two of Hyundai's most popular cars launched into the Middle East lately have been honoured at the recent Autocar Middle East Awards, where they were each named top of their division.

The Hyundai Veracruz has been named Best Family SUV, and The Hyundai i30 was awarded for Best Sub Compact Car, for the Year 2008.

The Autocar Middle East Awards are the most respected and impartial automotive honours in the region due to the fact they are compiled through a mix of independent judging and popular votes.

Juma Al Majid Est. - Hyundai President Isam Abu Nabah said that the Autocar Middle East Awards are the most accurate gauge of a vehicles perception in the region.

Isam said:
"Hyundai's performance in these awards is a direct reflection of popularity and positive feedback we have been receiving from customers. Both the Veracruz and the i30 are some of our most popular models this year and we are proud this has been recognised by our industry peers."


The seven-seater Hyundai Veracruz is breaking new ground in premium crossovers as a well-equipped 3.8-liter V6 SUV. This vehicle combines the luxury, and the SUV that is big enough to carry the whole family, "wherever they need to go".

The i30 is Hyundai's answer to the mid-size hatchback market and represents a milestone in the category. Offering a class leading combination of comfort and refinement, interior space, economy and exceptional levels of standard equipment, it is the complete all-round package.
