DTCM concludes Employment Week 2008

The Dubai Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM) reported a successful participation at the Employment Week 2008 held at Dubai Women's College in Dubai from 16 - 20 November 2008.

The Employment Week a yearly event was organized by the DTCM in order to promote and create awareness amongst local female students about the importance of the Service Industry in Dubai.

Mariam Al Maeeni, Director of Human Resources at DTCM, said:
"During the four days of the event, participants and visitors were encouraged and educated about the industry and their role, and DTCM also looked at recruiting fresh talent from the Emirati women."


DTCM had a very fruitful week having collected numerous portfolios and CVs of young Emirati Women who will be considered to be employed at the organisation.

Ms Al Maeeni also added that this exclusive event organized by the DTCM was concluded with the distribution of souvenirs, promotional material and publications that explain the vital role of the Department in promoting Dubai as a leading tourist destination in the world.
