Join Ski Dubai's winter wonderland this festive season
- United Arab Emirates: Monday, November 24 - 2008 at 09:23
- PRESS RELEASE
Ski Dubai, the only fully-equipped winter leisure park located in the Middle East, has just announced its white festive experience program, and it promises to provide the perfect setting for a truly authentic experience.
Santa Claus will be taking up residence in his Snow Park grotto to meet and greet guests, and lucky children who visit him may find themselves walking away with a gift from his sack of goodies.
For those who would like a little extra pampering at this special time of year, Ski Dubai has also created an extraordinary white winter experience for families. The package includes valet parking, a special festive offering at the Sezzam restaurant (a warming treat to ward off the cold), a personal escort through the Snow Park by Santa's elves and priority access to the jolly white-bearded fellow himself. Those wanting to record their meeting with Santa for posterity can also have their photograph taken with him. Visitors are advised to book this unique festive package in advance.
Continuing the exciting build-up, from Friday December 12th, and lasting all the way until Christmas Eve, Santa Claus, Rudolph and all the elves will be joined by Ski Dubai's own cuddly mascot, Frostbite the polar bear. The arctic-based throng will be parading down the slopes at Ski Dubai every day at 5:30pm, before moving on to the Galleria at the Mall of the Emirates. Here the parade will be concluded under the spectacular 13-metre high Christmas tree alongside the renowned Kempinski Carol Singers, who will be performing harmonious renditions of favourite festive songs.
If all this activity causes a few hunger pangs, the St. Moritz restaurant will be offering a traditional festive buffet for breakfast and lunch each day. The popular establishment will also be opening its doors for a special menu of entertainment on Christmas Eve evening.
Finally, remembering that this time of year is also about the act of giving, Ski Dubai - together with Mall of the Emirates and Kempinski Hotel Mall of the Emirates - is encouraging visitors to donate a small present at gift boxes situated under the centre's imposing Galleria Christmas tree. All contributions, once collected, will be distributed to the children at the Dubai Centre for Special Needs; a gesture that perfectly sums up the generosity associated with the spirit of the season.
