Organized annually under the patronage of His Highness, Sheikh Dr. Sultan Al Qassimi, Ruler of Sharjah and Member of the Supreme Council of the UAE, it aims to assemble urban/environmental planning scholars, professionals and technocrats from across the globe to examine a topical theme.
This year, the SUPS-10 symposium will examine "Capital Cities, Wicked Problems: Best Practices in Planning and Policy Response Mechanisms."
Al Hanoo, who received a visit to their stand at the symposium from The Crown Prince of Sharjah, H.H. Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed bin Sultan Al Qassimi, are showcasing two of its extraordinary projects - Emirates Industrial City and Al Nujoom Islands.
Sheikh Abdullah Al Shakrah, Chairman of Al Hanoo Holding, said

Emirates Industrial City's is a specialized, mega industrial city, with current investment in the project in excess of Dhs5bn.
This includes the recently launched Warehouses Project.
Infrastructure for Emirates Industrial City is 100% complete, while phase one of the Warehouses Project, which forms 50% of the venture, is currently underway and scheduled to be complete within 15 months.
At a cost of Dhs600m, Al Nujoom Islands is the biggest waterfront project in the emirate of Sharjah.
The project comprises a total of 10 islands, surrounded by 35km of seawater, which are being developed in stages.
It is expected to be completed in 2010.
