Commenting on the significance of the launch, Dr. Tayeb Kamali, Vice Chancellor of HCT said:

It makes available, at no charge, a broad range of developer, designer and gaming software tools for download. DreamSpark aims to empower students to use technology to develop websites, create games and build software or services. The following cutting-edge software is available to empower students to unlock their ingenuity and equip them with the critical skills they need to participate in today's knowledge economy.
