"International Freight Week has been created specifically to address the economic needs of the region and the ambitions of international companies involved in the logistics industry,"
said Sarah Woodbridge, Group Director - Exhibitions, IIR Middle East - organisers of the event.
The United Arab Emirates, in a bid to secure long-term sustainable economic growth, has diversified its focus into four key areas - Oil & Gas, Tourism, Finance & Banking and Trade & Logistics. It is estimated that Middle East economies could save as much as US$74 billion by changing the way global logistics are managed.
Among the many exhibitors showcasing the latest product and service innovations that will see the sector further increase efficiency and capacity throughout the Middle East, Jean Francois Millet, Group Chairman of Logfret Middle East, chose International Freight Week as the platform to highlight the remarkable logistical support it is providing to the Dubai Metro and Taweela Fujeirah pipeline projects, while Ehrhardt + Partner Solutions are focusing on warehouse modernisation and the optimisation of warehouse processes.
Professionals involved in the freight, logistics and warehousing industry qualify for free admission to the exhibition, which runs through to Tuesday 25th November at Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre, and is open from 11am to 7pm daily.
