Eid District in Dubai Festival City prepares for Eid Al Adha celebrations

Eid Al Adha celebrations during 'Eid in Dubai' are set to get a boost as Dubai Festival City, a key sponsor of the event, finalises preparations to host the Eid District - a main venue of Eid events and activities during the festivity.

Featuring a variety of family-oriented events and specially-themed zones, the Eid District will incorporate the elements of a traditional Eid celebration to create an atmosphere of fun and excitement for all.

Yousif Mubarak, Chief Operating Officer of Dubai Shopping Festival Office, said:
"After the overwhelming success of Eid District during Eid Al Fitr, the DSF Office will once again present a host of activities during Eid Al Adha. This time around, the concept of Eidiyah will be prominent and the Eidiyat Dubai Mega Raffle will add to the excitement of Eid celebrations."

Fuwallat Al Eid


The Fuwalla celebration will be back again during Eid Al Adha with a special Fuwalla area distributing free sweets and confectionery to shoppers and visitors to Dubai Festival City. The Fuwalla concept was extremely popular with mall-goers during Eid Al Fitr.

Concerts


Maroon 5, one among the hottest bands in the current music scene will play at the Festival Centre for only one night on December 10 as part of entertainment activities organized by Dubai Festival City.

Heritage Zone


Specially organized to present traditional events held during Eid, the Heritage Zone will incorporate all the elements of a traditional Eid celebration through exhibits, cuisine, and music.

Eid Fireworks


Fireworks are a hallmark of festivities in Dubai and it will now lend its dazzling colours to 'Eid in Dubai' by lighting up the night sky each evening during Eid. The spectacular fireworks show will be held at the Dubai Festival City waterfront and will go on for ten minutes starting at 8pm during all four days of Eid.

Solo Musicians


Spread around Dubai Festival City, solo musicians will play a variety of music from numerous countries to emphasize on the cultural diversity of 'Eid in Dubai'. Shoppers will get to hear musical instruments such as the violin, cello, oud, qanoon, and the tabla.

Apart from the events, Dubai Festival City will be part of the spectacular Eidiyat Dubai Mega Raffle where 30 shoppers will take home AED 100,000 each for a whopping AED 3 million worth of prizes over three days.

Organised by Dubai Shopping Festival Office and supported by wasl, 'Eid in Dubai' is sponsored by Dubai Festival City, Emirates Airline, Dubai World Trade Centre, and ARY Exclusive. The event is held in association with Dubai Shopping Malls Group and Dubai Gold and Jewellery Group. Arab Media Group is the media partner of the event.
