Barclays Wealth brings world renowned balancing sculpture artist to Dubai

The 'Under the Dubai Sky - Creating Balance' is an exhibition of exquisite balancing sculptures created by the world renowned Polish artist Jerzy 'Jotka' Kedziora, at the DIFC on the evening of the 23rd of November.

Most famous for his balancing sculptures; Jotka is the only artist in the world who produces such unusual pieces of art that focus on the kinetic properties of sculpture. An award winning artist, Jotka has won several accolades for his work and is a recipient of many prestigious grants from the Polish Ministry of Culture and Art.

In addition to bringing these balancing sculptures to the region, Jotka hosted a workshop with six students from the American University in Dubai to create a signature sculpture that reflects the delicate balance of cultures. This unique piece of art was auctioned by Christies to a VIP gathering on the 23rd of November 2008. Proceeds from the auction were donated to the Dubai Autism Centre.

'Under the Dubai Sky - Creating Balance' was launched on Sunday evening at The Gate Outdoors, DIFC and will be on display until the 19th of December 2008. Jotka's work was installed in the DIFC's most prominent locations, namely The Gate, The Gate District and The Gate Village.
