Home to a number of cultural institutions including the Cultural Foundation, UAE Public Library, Cultural Centre and the National Theatre, Abu Dhabi is considered as the 'cultural hub' of the Middle East. With Abu Dhabi and Al Ain's strong demands in signage and imaging - particularly in the production of books and arts, the recently launched company under Jacky's Group of Companies is expecting to generate strong prospects from these areas. Izumi Solutions will also receive strategic customers from its covered territories across the region including the UAE, Lebanon and Yemen.

Consequently, the large format printing industry in the Middle East is expected to show growth in 2009 despite global events due to the fact that vendors such as HP have widened their large format portfolio to include printers that are designed for the interior decoration or glass manufacturing segments. Such development will result in broader customer reach in the digital printing industry across the sign and display markets. At SIM 2008, Izumi Solutions will showcase printers that cater to this broader customer reach that can be used for kitchen, bathroom and swimming pool applications targeting the interior design industry.

SIM 2008 is the most comprehensive trade show for the regional marketing communications industry, providing the perfect platform for Izumi Solutions and HP to showcase the HP Scitex FB950 - the latest flatbed printing technology that can deliver savings in terms of time and material cost. The HP Scitex FB950 allows direct printing on rigid substrates such as glass, wood, aluminium, acrylic sheet and ceramic tiles, which is less expensive compared to previous method of printing on self adhesive vinyl before printing on the substrates or screen printing.

"We are positive that large format printing and outdoor advertising will continue to increase over the next year. Izumi Solutions will capitalise on these emerging markets and from various companies in the UAE's capital. As most improvements in printing technologies have resulted in cost effective solutions, print service providers are given an advantage to sustain their business' competitiveness, even during challenging periods such as this," said Walid Amin, General Manager, Izumi Solutions.

"Large format printing technology is gearing towards a variety of graphics applications such as vehicle wraps, exhibition graphics, POP/POS retail displays, bridge graphics and highway billboards, resulting in new markets resorting to employ the technology. The Dubai Metro project, bus shelter posters, airport advertising and the interior design market are some examples of increased acceptance of creative applications such as printing on glass and ceramic tiles," he added.

During SIM 2008, Izumi Solutions will display the 3.2 metre HP XL1500 with Dye-Sub technology which enables printing on fabrics. The company is also highlighting its strong technical team supporting HP digital printing products before, during and after installation for maximum customer satisfaction and quality services.

"Izumi Solutions' number one objective is customer satisfaction because we believe that the more our customers are printing, the more they are earning. Our participation in SIM is an excellent approach to show our latest digital printing solutions in the region. The SIM exhibition will surely position itself to be one of the most important shows in the Middle East,"

Amin concluded.

SIM 2008 is a combination of three events under one roof providing access to important decision-makers from across the marketing spectrum throughout the Middle East. The show's technology partner HP and Izumi Solutions are located at E10 stand.
