Oman Air and Galileo Oman sign travel agency distribution deal

A new joint marketing support agreement to distribute and market Galileo's Global Distribution System to Oman's travel agency community was signed at Muscat's Al Bustan Hotel this week.
Now, thanks to the landmark deal, Oman Air will work with Emirates and OUA to promote the new system and make it the country's leading agency distribution channel.
Oman Air, OUA and Emirates will upgrade the system to the latest IT platform, speeding response times and offering access to Galileo's full product range, including the latest version of Viewpoint, its graphical user interface (GUI).
Oman Air will urge its agents to make wider use of Galileo, benefiting its stakeholders and customers alike. The deal will give Oman Air a more economical distribution channel and ensure its agents benefit from Galileo's fast-growing product range.
Naz Nizari, General Manager Galileo Emirates, and Ameen Malik Allibhoy, Manager Business Development, signed on behalf of Dermot Mannion, Emirates' Chief Director, Finance, IT & Services. Abdul Rahman Al Busaidy, Oman Air CEO, signed for Oman Air.
Witnessing the signing during Oman Air's 2003 Marketing and Sales Conference.at Muscat's Al Bustan Hotel were Habib Shabab, Chief Executive and Pradeep Havaldar, Head of Travel from OUA, the service provider for the Galileo GDS for the Sultanate.
