His Highness the Emir of Qatar Sheikh Hamad Bin Khalifah Al Thani receives Investcorp Board of Directors in Doha

His Highness the Emir of Qatar Sheikh Hamad Bin Khalifah Al Thani, has received in Doha members of the Board of Directors of Investcorp, the renowned alternative investment firm that acts as a bridge between the Gulf and West that is headed by its Executive Chairman and CEO, Nemir A Kirdar.

Mr. Kirdar and Members of the Board of Directors thanked His Highness for receiving them and praised the progress and development the State of Qatar is achieving under his distinguished leadership. They briefed His Highness on Investcorp's business and future plans and the steps it was taking to mitigate the impact of the global financial crisis based on its 26 years of successful experience. In particular, they explained how Investcorp's dynamism has positioned it to contribute to the significant investment opportunities that the Gulf market offers today through its Gulf Growth Capital line of business.

His Highness the Emir praised the performance of Investcorp and complimented the Firm on the high respect and recognition it has earned as a world class institution.

The Investcorp Board of Directors held its regular quarterly meeting in Doha to review the progress of Investcorp's five business lines and to discuss future plans.

Nemir Kirdar, welcomed three new members to Investcorp's Board: His excellency Sheikh Jasim Bin Abdulaziz Al Thani (Qatar), Majed Seif Ahmad Al Ghurair (Dubai), and his excellency Mohammed Bin Mahfouz Al Ardi (Oman).
