Jean-Pierre Negre, General Inspector from the French Ministry of Ecology, Energy, Sustainable Development and Town planning, attended the event and presented a paper on Railways Safety.
Francois Carcaud-Macaire, VP of Total Regional Development, said:

This exhibition enabled some of the leading players to demonstrate their specializations in a region where highly ambitious infrastructure projects are on the cards."
"From infrastructure to rolling stock, from design to signalization, from simulators to traffic control sensors. French companies offer a formidable competency chain marked by great experience and innovation", he added.
The participating companies took the opportunity to establish new contacts in this region as well as networking with potential customers. "We have received excellent leads and look forward to bringing our well-known blend of technology, aesthetics and comfort to some of the prestigious projects being planned in this region", said Veronique Flament, of MBD Design, a company reputed for styling high speed trains, metros, LRT and tramways.
Mr. Rosmorduc, of CORYS manufacturers of advanced simulators for training and engineering in power and transport industry - was also highly optimistic. "With so many rail and road projects underway, we are very positive about this market. Our simulators are operating successfully in 32 countries and provide training at multiple levels including sensitive matters like security and energy saving," he commented.
Most of the French SME's plan to strengthen their marketing efforts in the GCC region and would like to participate in similar events in the future.
