Dubai International Film Festival 2008 box office opens November 27

The box office for the fifth annual Dubai International Film Festival (DIFF) opens today, with four locations and a dedicated call centre for movie lovers to buy tickets to screenings and special events.
A special screening of U2 3D will take place at the Grand Cinemas IMAX theatre at Ibn Battuta Mall on December 17th. Also, winners for the Muhr Awards AsiaAfrica and Muhr Awards for Excellence in Arab Cinema will screen at Mall of the Emirates and Festival City on December 19 and 20.
Box Offices are located at the Souk Madinat Jumeirah, the lobby of the CNN building at Dubai Media City, Cinestar cinemas at Mall of the Emirates, and Grand Cinemas Festival City. All Box Offices are open from 10:00 to 22:00 pm, with the exception of the CNN Building, which will open from 10:00 to 18:00.
Tickets can also be purchased securely online through the festival's website; the website is a valuable source of information for all things DIFF, including synopses of all the festival's offerings, schedules, venue information and festival news. All venues are wheelchair accessible, and customer service staff can answer any concerns as to content and ratings.
The DIFF phone sales line can be reached on 04 391-3378, and is open from 9:00 to 18:00. During the festival, the phone sales line will be open from 9:00 to 21:00.
If tickets to a screening are unavailable, there is still the option of the 'Stand By' queue, where patrons can buy tickets for any seats left unfilled 15 minutes prior to show time.
DIFF will run from December 11 to 18, 2008. Principal Sponsors are Dubai Duty Free, Dubai Pearl, Emirates Airlines, and Jumeirah.
